Ooc: Slight powerplay, saying he was leading the way. IC: Xexe was leading Icicle to the dumpster. It seemed as if he was helping her prepare for all of the adult-hood trials. Icicle appreciated that. She needed to be ready if she would be able to pass. She wondered what this dump would be like. Would it be big? Or was it small? What was a dump? Icicle had so many questions!!! She continued to follow in scilence. Her tail was wagging a tiny bit, and she felt Azure nestle in her fur. Icicle giggled at her daemon. She was like the only member of her real family that was left. But, she had friends; Xexe, Maia, Eirny... They were all of her friends. "How much longer?"

"How much longer?", her voice broke the temporary silence that had washed over them since they had set out. His skin lurched in surprise. It wasn't that he had forgotten about her, but simply that his ears had grown used to the silence, and weren't expecting the sudden question. He looked at her and frowned. "It's a loooooooooooooooooong way, pup. The journey there and back is all part of the ritual. ", he was quiet now, and he wondered how he could keep Icicle occupied and having fun. He remembered his promise to talk to her about being an adult. He decided to elaborate more on the ritual now. "See, er, you don't actually need this thing yet. ", he looked back at her to see if she understood or was alarmed. He hoped that she hadn't lost his trust in him. "B-b-but you will soon. When you turn one, Gennae will come up to you and say 'So, you're one now. Go find a human shiny fore I change mah mind n eat cho up in here.' But, if you have one already, you can be like 'Oh, I did it already, here it is!' ", he said, trying to emulate Icicle's higher pitched voice by holding his nostrils shut while he talked. The effect sounded like helium whining through a leak in a balloon. "N', 'sides, I'm here now, so we can go together 'n be safe. ", he added the extra emphasis on 'safe'. He hoped that the idea of being safe, and not going alone, was starting to penetrate Icicle's brain as a BIG DEAL. Because it was. Anything that scared the be-jeebers-'n-pee out of a big grown wolf, a puppy should be at least twice as scared of. After all, humans were the most dangerous, terrifying creatures alive. And any place they had once been, they were sure to return - only with more of their kind. He shuddered as he thought of the rotting, destroyed, and upheaved earth that the humans called their home. He wondered when it would be a good time to break it to her how much the place stank. He wasn't even sure how to describe the smell.

According to Xexe, it was quite a while to the dump. Icicle couldn't wait. She liked to explore. She wanted to know what a dump looked like. Little did she know it was a human's dumping ground. But she would find out soon enough, no big deal. She listened carefully to Xexe, and giggled when he tried to imitate her voice. Icicle thought about Xexe's words. So, how you become an adult depended on the leader's mood. Icicle just hoped that the leader would be in a good mood on Icicle's day!!!! Icicle looked at Xexe. He said that it would be safer if they went together. So, was it dangerous? "Can you still play as an adult?"

"Can you still play as an adult?", she asked now, after a few moments of pondering. The moment her words hit his ears, and registered, he rushed at her and playfully pretended to gobble up the fur on her back. "Rawfulgarwfulrawlful - omnomnom ", he said, his mouth too full to speak. He laughed heartily and withdrew, taking a moment to try to pat her fur back down some. "Yes. ", came his reply at last, with a grin. "Sorry, I uh, drooled on you a lil' bit.", he grimaced at her now-wet fur. "Course you can play. Just don't make it look like you're off your rocker, you know? Like you're a few cheerios short of a full bowl? Puppies are funnest to play with, they like to play more than anyone else. " He paused for a moment to spit out some lingering hairs from his mouth. They were brown. One eyebrow raised in a quizzical look as he went to her again, this time to smell her. "You smell funny. ", he wrinkled his nose. "Whose hairs are those?", he asked her calmly. Inside he trembled. OH LAWDIES, PLEASE DON'T SAY YOU'VE BEEN PLAYING WITH BEARS, his mind screamed.

Just for the record, Shimmer was not having a good day. She was hungry, and she was tired and she needed a drink. She was heading towards the human’s dumping grounds. She hoped she could find an easy meal there. But, what was waiting for her, she would not know. She walked, neither her nor her daemon said a word. She kept walking in scilence, when she saw movement. She continued towards it. Soon, she came across the source of movement. A young male. How… interesting. And a pup with him. Shimmer looked the young male up and down before paying attention to the pup. The pup seemed familiar. A memory, so distant, that it was barely there. Who was this pup? They seemed to be heading in the same direction as herself. "Greetings, children. You, young man, seem the age of just becoming an adult, am I right? And you, young lady, seem to be familiar. I am Shimmer, and this is my daemon, Arion. What would two young trouble-makers like you be doing out here?" Meh, the child’s mind is a mystery.

So you could still play as an adult, as long as you didn’t seem like you were losing it. Icicle hoped there would be pups in the pack when she was an adult, so she could still play. She giggled as Xexe pretended to eat her. Her fur was on end, and went from Xexe slobber. She shook herself, trying to get as much as the slobber as she could off. She nodded when he said that pups like to play the most. That was defiantly true!!!!! He seemed to have hair in his mouth. Brown fur. Icicle defiantly didn’t have brown fur!!!! Well, last time she checked. She was pretty sure she had silky, white fur. She smelt funny too, apparently. She tried to think of who she knew had brown fur… "Oh, that’s from Maia, the other wolf pup in the pack. She’s black, with brown highlights in her fur. You’d probably like her!!!!!" As soon as she said that, a wolfess appeared. She reminded Icicle of her mother, the blue swirls, the blue-green eyes… and to familiar to be a coincidence. She seemed to look Xexe up and down several times, as if judging him. Icicle tilted her head. She asked why they were here. "Uh, well, we’re going to the dump to find some jewelry. So I can become an adult in three months time. I’m Icicle, and my daemon here is Azure!!!!!"

He listened, very interested, as she told him about this other wolf puppy in the pack. So, there was another puppy in the pack? Icicle had a new friend? He wondered how he had not noticed. He opened his mouth, and was about to inquire more, when he was interrupted. A new female had suddenly appeared, very white, with light blue markings. Her color scheme looked not unlike Icicle's. He stepped closer and in-front of the puppy, protecting her from the new wolf. The newcommer introduced herself as Shimmer in a polite greeting. He stepped back beside Icicle as she instantly responded in her usual happy-to-lucky ever-trusting amiable attitude, intruducing herself and her bluejay. "I'm Xexe. Icicle is my younger sister. ", he added to introduce himself, smiling down at Icicle at their own private humor. Seeing as everyone was happy and getting along, he thought privately to Icicle , "Icicle? You there? Would you like to invite this new wolf to come with us?", he thought to her. When it came to humans, the more wolves there were in their party, the safer they'd be. There was no such thing as too many wolves when it came to humans, the filthy, stinky, strange, and foul beasts.

Xexe was about to speak before Shimmer butted in. It was most likely about Maia. Icicle wondered how well Maia and Xexe would get on. Would they get on very well? Maia was the same age as her, nine months, and would become an adult the same time as her too. And Xexe was his normal 'I have to protect Icicle' self. Icicle rolled her eyes. He was protecting her from a wolf that was very unlikely to attack. It was polite, and it was calm. Hoe much damage can a wolf like that cause? But Xexe was Xexe, none the less. She tried not to laugh when he said that he was her sister."Xexe!!!!! We look nothing alike!!!! How can we be brother and sister!?" He had asked her to ask this Shimmer wolf if she would like to come to the dump with them. They probably needed a wolf, older than Xexe to come with them for protection. And Icicle liked this Shimmer. She wanted to know more about her. "Would you like to come with us to the dump, miss? The more the merrier!!!!!"

Shimmer looked this Xexe wolf up and down again. He claimed to be Icicle's sister. Shimmer is no mind-reader, but she is good at telling who is lying. She doubted the fact that Xexe was Icicle's brother. She looked over at Icicle, and she seemed as if she was trying not to laugh. She raised an eye-brow. "I see. And which pack do you come from, Icicle and Xexe what ever your last name is?" She said the last part of her question with a bit of sarcasm. She looked at Icicle again. She was positive that she had seen this pup somewhere before. She was similar colors to herself, and the same fur color. It reminded her of one of her sisters... one who had changed her name... but she couldn't pinpoint which one... Then, the pup asked if she would like to come to the dump with them. "Yes, I would love too. And as much as your brother seems to protect you, what if you came face to face with some humans? Xexe could not protect you then. I hate to say he isn't strong enough yet, so you need me." And me too. I am also quite big... for a daemon.

Icicle immediately protested to his joking about being brother and sister. He felt a little surprised at her reaction though, he had expected her to nod along playfully. He decided he wouldn't let it get him down, he'd play along and be good company. So he simply chuckled and wagged his tail in response to her. Icicle happily invited Shimmer along, and she accepted. And then asked them, "I see. And which pack do you come from, Icicle and Xexe what ever your last name is?" "We're Fjárhald. I don't have a last name, Icicle, how about you?", he inquired curiously. By the looks of things, Icicle would indeed be alright with Shimmer. He felt like the two of them were watching eachother rather oddly. He knew that when females all got together, they liked to talk amongst themselves about private things. He felt that he wanted to get out of the way so the two of them could talk. He quickly thought up an excuse. "I er um... nature calls! Erm...uh..... yeah!", and then he dashed out of sight into the nearest cover.

Xexe was about to speak before Shimmer butted in. It was most likely about Maiaseemed pretty surprised when Icicle snapped about the brother sister thing. Well, they looked nothing alike, that was for sure. Xexe was grey, and brown, Icicle was white and light blue. But they treated each other like a brother and sister. Shimmer asked what pack they were from. Icicle was about to reply, but Xexe did that for her. She had a feeling that Shimmer was being slightly sarcastic. Xexe seemed to be oblivious. She wasn't sure how Shimmer would react to them being in another pack. Xexe asked her if she had a last name."Nope, I don't have a last name. You should know that, because your my brother right!?" (Oh, Icicle's first thread with sarcasm!!!XD) Xexe then went all strange on her. He cried something about nature calls and shot off. Oh no no, he wasn't getting away that easily!!!! She was hot on his tail, and burst out behind him. "What are you doing???!!! Don't run off on me like that!!!!! And nature calls you to do what?"

Xexe seemed to be surprised by something. She tilted her head, confused. Icicle hadn’t said anything. Why would he be so shocked in that moment? That aside, they answered her question. Or he did. They were from the other pack. From Fjárhald. She knew there were no pups in her pack, sadly. "I see.And you have no last name? Well, neither do I. So, how close are you guys?" She tilted her head. She had heard you can do mind speech if you were really close to another wolf. Did these two have the ability? She wanted to find out, for a strange reason. Then, Xexe started acting strange. Stuttering, and saying nature calls and ran off. Icicle was hot on his tail, and Shimmer hot on hers. When she caught up with them, she tilted her head. "What was that all about? What do you have someone to see? Something to do? I thought you were taking this young lady to the dump. You’re confusing me now..." And... pop goes the weasel!!! Don’t lose your mind!!!!

"What are you doing???!!! Don't run off on me like that!!!!! And nature calls you to do what?", the voice of Icicle startled him. He whirled around to see her following him. An embarrassed look filled his eyes. He signed. "Icicle! I gotta go pee...", he said as quietly to her as he could through gritted teeth. "Go back to Shimmer, I'll be right there in a little bit.", he urged her now. He could hear Shimmer complaining at his quick escape as well. Ugh, he groaned at the big scene he had just made. "You ladies keep on going, I'll catch up! I have some quick business I need to attend to!", he shouted back to Shimmer. By business, he hoped they understood this time - or at least thought him to be a man with lots of professional things to do. He nodded to Icicle, and then resumed his search for cover. What was it with women anyways, why were they always so strange, edgy, and mean? Well, maybe Icicle wasn't that way, but sometimes she was a little oblivious - well, in her defense, she was just a puppy. He spotted a grove of trees a quick jog away and sprinted after them.

So Xexe needed to pee. Icicle felt a little embarrassed at that moment. Opps…. You kinda want privacy when you, urm, release un-needed waste. Icicle looked to the ground. Well, She thought, I better leave Xexe to his ‘buisness.’ She started back to Shimmer, who at also complained about Xexe’s big break. Icicle sat in front of Shimmer. She looked vaguely familiar, as if she had seen her in a dream or something. It confused her. Shimmer reminded her of her mother. Apparently, her mother had changed her name when she was younger. Icicle always wondered why. Icicle, as always was curious. She decided to ask Shimmer about her past. Well, if she wanted too. "Did you have any siblings when you were growing up? I didn’t. Uh, well, ah, I mean I did, but, uh, dad took Xexe out a lot. (Xexe please don’t kill me!)" She hoped that Xexe would hurry up already. To Icicle, sitting still for five seconds is a big ask. Xexe had been gone longer than that. Icicle was getting impatient. What was he doing???!!! Icicle sighed. She didn’t want to wait here that much longer. She was going to call to him to hurry up. "Xexe?? Are you nearly done? We have to go!!!!!!"

Icicle came round really embarrassed. Shimmer tilted her head. Maybe he needed to do his business? Her thoughts were answered when he shouted about doing his business. She tilted her head at Icicle. She had asked Shimmer if she had had any siblings, and a weird stuttering about Xexe being her brother. "Well, I had three siblings. I had two sisters, Poppy and Silver, and one brother called scar. According to my mother, scar looked like my father. He was a black color, and had a pink scar marking going down his eye, but it wasn’t actually there. His eyes were a purple. Poppy, was a reddish brown color, with yellow eyes. She had red stripes over her body. And then there was Silver. She was a silver color, with light blue swirls on her legs, and dots around her eyes. She had bright blue eyes. I don’t know what happened to them…" She also wanted to get a move on. She was hungry, and wanted to get her easy meal quick. Icicle called Xexe, and Shimmer waited. This pup interested her. Who was this pup? Why did she remind her so much of Silver? Silver had changed her name, but Shimmer couldn’t remember what to? "What was your mother’s name? I would like to know..." Easy, don’t go full on all of a sudden!!!!!!
